During your first visit, you will meet in person or virtually with our Nurse Practitioner to discuss your health concerns and goals and review heatlh history and current health habits. From there recommendations will be made for a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve your wellness goals.

Semaglutide belongs a to a class of medications known as glucagon-like-peptide (GLP-1) receptor agonists. It mimics the GLP-1 hormone that is released in the gastrointestinal tract in response to eating. Tirzepatide mimics the GLP-1 hormone as well as a GIP (glucose depenedent insulinotropic polypeptide)

They delay gastric emptying leading to a feeling of fullness and satisfaction with smaller meal sizes. They reduce the production of sugar in the liver and stimulate the pancreas to secrete insulin.

Nausea, constipation, diarrhea, dehydration, fatigue, dizziness, itching at the site of injection. We will discuss these during your consult. 

It is contraindicated if you have Type 1 diabetes, medullary thyroid cancer, multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2, history of pancreatitis, or BMI under 19
